I have taken several follow up shots up to 60yardswhen really they were not needed but the more blood the better.If the animal has been hit once ibow hunt like i rifle hunt, i shoot till its down or out of range. I have heard stories of hunters saving and arrow or bullet thinking the animal was hit good only to not recover it.
