You "could barely keep it inside a 2" circle"? As in 2" in diameter group?Wouldn't thatbe in the 10-ring of a 3D target? The outdoor games professional competitions have bigger targets at 25 yards (I think they are 2.5" diameter and they might even be 3.5" diameter). Are you sure that is a bad day? That is keeping arrows inside the top of a pop can every time.
Yes a two inch diameter group. We made a giant dartboard on a piece of 3" thick 4'x4' rigid insulation and set it about 26-27 yards (so that it was between pins for most of us). Wetracedquartersfor the triples and the base of a pop can for the doubles, then we played cricket.
And2" may be in the "10-ring" of a 3D target... but certainly not the 12-ring, unless it was a moose target. And(if I'm not terribly mistaken)the x-ring on a vegas face target is about the size of a dime...
