As others stated ya cant go wrong with ruger revolvers for hunting deer( or other uses even)

But the 45acp is nowhere near the 44 mag in power& the 2 are not comparable in my opinion-( other then there bullet dia/ size)

Dont forget those single shot pistols that come in some great rifle calibers also.
