No.. i wouldnt shoot..im new and i wouldnt be able to hit anything that far 9 out of 10 times.. also u said if you hit the deer too far back.. yes the deer will die but if i shoot and miss the deer ( in most cases ) will start running and that will push the deer MUCH farther i'd bet.. i'd watch it and see if it beds down and let it walk away or expire in site.. if it walked away i note the direction and exact point where i lost sight of it and all of course.. if it bedded down in front of me i would wait til i KNEW it was dead or until it got dark.. if it got dark on me i would sneak out of my stand if possible and leave until the next day
