RE: Long range second shot?
I have personally never had this opportunity happen to me, but if it did happen, arrows are flying till i have no more or the animal is gone. Once the animal is hit, what harm could it do, more hits, more bleeding, quicker death.
This exact situation happened last year to my buddy. He shot an 8 point at dark at 20 yards, knew he hit itfatally butwasnt sure where he hit it, thought it was a good one, but the deer only bounded off 20 more yards. He drew back, took aim where he thought he needed to be, stuck another arrow in him. Hit him again, animal bounded off another 20 yards and he shot again, missinghim this time. He got the animal, didnt need the 2 follow ups, but it didnt hurt.
