I'm gonna step out on a limb here, but who cares right? Who actually uses that tiny little level? In a hunting situation, are you really looking at that tiny thing to determine level? I mean,at 25yrds, how far off can you be if you "guess" level by holding your bow what you think feels and looks level? Maybe I'm missing something here, but I really don't see the point in that tiny level at all. If my sight did not have it, it would not matter to me at all.

Well, I'm gonna step out on a limb here and say, "most of us care." If we didn't care we wouldn't use it. There's no question about whether or not canting your bow will affect your windage... hence traditional archery. But I really appreciate your relevant information on leveling a sight.

I tend to agree that shooting a deer from 25 yards in a hunting situation that the level is irrelevant BUT I look at it when coming to anchor just as I do everytime I shoot my bow.It is part of my shot sequence. On a deer,I may not take the extra time to make sure it is perfect but I do look at it.I am talking about milliseconds here.

I do believe they are a valuable asset to a bow andare quite valuable in the tuning process and will help an archer/hunter become much more efficient with his or her equipiment.

Once you learn to draw level, you will be much closer to level everytime you draw the bow, even in a hunting situation.

I agree with the rest about the sight in question. You could easily shim it and get it right but it is a new, fairly expensive sight and I would want it as close to perfect as I could get.
That's pretty much exactly how I "use" my level as well TFOX. I may just shim it because I'm really tired of dealing with Spot Hogg altogether, althought I really do like the sight.

I checked both of the sights that came in (one for a buddy) and both of them are truly "out oflevel" I checked them both on and off the bow and also checked 2 other sights on the bow. Both of these sights were fine (both on and off), so I know that it isn't the riser of my Vectrix.

I appreciateall of your input guys.
