RE: Foaming bore cleaner
I bought some to use shortly after I got my muzzle loader. It works good. I also think there are other brands of foaming bore cleaners out there too. Like was said in above post, it is messy. When I'm done shooting for the day I use a couple of damp patches with window washer fluid and rubbing alcohol 50/50 mix followed by a few dry patches. I then remove my breech plug and put it in a small bottle of straight rubbing alcohol, run another patch down through the barrel and then another patch with a little Rem Oil on it. At that point I'm pretty clean enough to get home where I break out the foaming bore cleaner and really give it a good cleaning, clean the breech plug, apply anti sieze to the plug and install. It might be a little overkill but it works for me.
