As Cdad said I am basically a "cheap" person so i have never bought into the SST/Shockwave thing - they are to expensive for me shoot especially as much as I shoot. I say that then I'll tell you IMO the best bullet out there are the Nosler Partitions, but they have become so expensive I can not justify shooting them either, when my current stock is done - they will be history.

The best secondary bullet I have found for myself is the Speer Gold Dots, either the 250 grain .452 for deer or 300 grain .452 for elk. These bullets are bonded and do not come apart, with the hollow point they open quickly and pentrate deeply... I call them a "poorman's - Nosler" I buy them in reloader boxes then order MMP sabots - you would need either the HPH-24 (45/50 black sabot) or the easier loading MMP HPH-3p-EZ load (45/50 black sabot)

If you want a real flat shooting hard hitting bullet try the Hornady 10mm 200 grain XTP in a MMP 40/50cal blue sabot... they are amazing....
