NO the crazy thing is doing it for less than that or even crazier is doing a lifesize for that price. You may want to work for free but I don't. I have a lifesize bear that I am working on that I am getting $2500 (not counting base) for, so 1/2 lifesize would be 1/2 that. Getting ripped is getting poor quality and if your are getting a lifesize done for $1200, the taxidermist has to be cutting corners somewhere. Shoot-em did you go to Surry Mini Course? They had a great business course that went over the costs of mounting a deer. The total costs. From advertising your services to paying yourself. And if you are charging less that $395 for a deer you are doing yourself a diservice.
