well guys I didnt get a chance to put a bird down, but I did have a great time listenin to one gobble!

The only problem was that the area I had permission to hunt was an extreamly thick 1 acre area surrounded by posted land.It was 6:00 whenwe got set up, and the bird was already on the ground. I sat and called but he never came my way. Instead, he quite gobblin for about 1/2 hour and by the time he gobbled again, he was about 100 yards farther out. He hung around out there for about an hour untill he moved off out of hearing distance. Since all the other land was posted, there was no way I could go after him.
He wasnt exactly answering my calls, but seemed to gobble at random. My guess is that he either wasnt very hot or he was on his way to a struting area or cornfield. Unfortunatly,Im not gonna have a chance to get back there before the season ends, so Ill have to realy onmy other turkey locations that havnt been doing so well to produce something this week.
