Thread hijacked. Top of the line bow is now about $750 (Drenalin, Guardin, Vectrix). Taking out conservative inflation of 2.5% for the last 7 years = comparable price of $618.75. There are also more choices now. Everything has gone up in last 7 to 8 years. Look at pistols! (but that also has to do with lawsuits, price of raw materials, gun legislation requiring locks, testing, etc.).
