Good one on the bino thing, I put it right behind the thermacell.

I wasn't really using binocs much before those things. It is nice to walk around all day with some 8x42s and not really notice them. If you don't have one, they are only $20 and they spare you the nagging weight on your neck and the extra movement and hassle of constantly putting your binocs down. They are right there to pull up with one hand about a foot to your eyes. I also think they help in keeping them steady.
