Thats the way Iowa is I guess. We had a semi related problem a couple of months ago. We have land in one school district, but live in another (all our land is less than 2 miles from our house) Well the school wanted to expand and decided to tax the heck out of the land owners. We had around 500 acres of land in their school district, but our house wasn't in their school district so we could not vote. Thank god it didn't pass, but it still doesn't seem right to me. Another thing I did not understand was the DNR said they were doing everything to try to cut down on the number of deer in Iowa, but that same year they raised the price of non resident tags.
