Thanks for all the kind words. To answer some questions. I have the kids using the bushnell scopes with the turkey reticle. We sight them in at 20 yards with slugs (change the chokes first) to get the true center shot. After that the ole .20 ga is good to out to 40 yards. That is the gun my son Dylan uses. Nates son shoots a black powder 12 ga. The idea being we can trim down the load for less recoil.

Taking those two out has been the highlight of our season up here. Lots of fun. I think turkeys are great to hunt with kids. Even in states where they can only tag along. The instint feedback of a turkey gobbling to a call can really entertain a young person.
You guys are the hard core crowd, you know what I am talking about.
