You think a fox is going to kill a calf? The only things that kill the chickens around here are racoons. A couple of my neighbors hate racoons because they kill the chickens, but no, not one farmer has ever complained to me about a fox or coyote. Now sheep ranchers that I know HATE coyotes, but never heard them complain about a fox. Do I know EVERY farmer and/or rancher? No, I don't. Would anyoneof the farmers around here cared if I killed one? No, they wouldn't one way or the other. Just my experiences. That is all.
I don't think a fox is going to kill a calf. I didn't say that....I was talking about yotes. I agree, the days of people having lots of chickens/ducks running around the farm are pretty much over. Different regions play into as well, I'm sure. Most farmers here want the vermin killed, complain about crop loss to deer, but are hesitant to let people kill them. Go figure[&:]
