Your problem is scaring me with replacing my string!!!! My bow is shooting holes right now and the thought of battling a problem like yours doesn't sound fun.

I'd go with what Len is saying about the strings. Try another set and see what happens.Or, put the old set on if they aren't in a dangerous condition and see what happens.

When you are dealing withitemsthat are measured by the 1/32" one small thing can cause a big problem.
