Hey how's it going everyone? I know there has to be quite a few funny stories about dogs in both the field or at home so its all good <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> What was the funniest thing your dog(s) ever did while out in the field? If not the field then at home. I have quite a bit but i'll tell one to start it off. Couple of years ago when my German Shorthaired Pointer (whom i had to get rid of due to a stupid cat) when he was about 8 months old roughy if recall. I went to a pheasant hunt near my house at the time and it wasn't all that great of a place, too many hunters and not enough birds. The birds were released out of pen connected to a truck and hunters would literlly shoot the birds (you could shoot Hens) as they were being let go and i found it very undesirable. Traz wanted to fetch these birds but was able to control the urge to run off into the distance and after about 40 minutes when he was out in front of me he flushed up a rooster. He never saw a pheasant before let alone know what the scent was so he was just running around looking for whatever. It was funny because the bird scared him and before he realized what happened i got the bird and hit the ground. He ran over to the bird and at first was kinda trippin' on what it was and just after a few seconds, he did a picture perfect point while standing about literally 2 inches away from it. I guess it was the thought that counts *l* Anyway i was proud of him and even though all the birds were dead by that time, he was looking for more and proud of him.
