It did, huntingson. I'd never been that close to one. I admitted the next day I got caught up in the excitement. In retrospect.....I should have waited on the first AND second shots. I had 7 jakes in front of me on the second miss.
I relate this to my deer hunting SO MUCH. Being around deer (and I see a lot) makes me realize that there are going to be good shot opportunities.....and that there's no reason to take an "iffy" one. I had a wonderful buck right under me the day after Thanksgiving that I passed at 4 yds. The angle ......shot over my left shoulder........I just thought he deserved better than that. He walked. NO regrets.
I should have either waited for better shot opportunities, that day.....or not shot.
