I am sorry to here that but, keep at them, they should still be in the same areas right now.

if the bass are still on beds down here, i KNOW they havent finished spawning up there.
I can not speak for Illinois, but up here they will not be on the beds until the first week of June. However everything right now is running about 2 weeks late so they may be a little late as well.
