Default Jigging fo Lakers

Went with two friends this morning to jig for lake trout on Keuka Lake, one of NY's Finger lakes...

We fished for 4 hours , using light gear and 1 oz. diamond jigs...

We landed 19 lakers from 1 1/2 to 3 pounds, and missed and lost at least as many as we landed... They were on the bottom in 110 to 113 feet of water... Surface temp of the water was 48 degrees F...

No big fish this morning, but lots of action with average sized ( and good EATING size ) fish... I kept one 3 pounder, which I plan to fry up for my girlfriend and myself today or tomorrow..

BTW...My nickname for my girlfriend is " The Mermaid"... That's because since she and I have been dating, I've fed her so much fresh FISH that I expect she might turn into one......
