tx....I'm optimistic I'll take a buck, too.....but it'll be a secondary target opportunity if I do. I'm actually targeting EVERY doe without a fawn in tow......EVERY hunt.
For you guys that know me.....I know you won't take this the wrong way.....but I hope I don't get burned out skinning deer, this year. The reason I say that is.....I know guys who won't kill a deer, sometimes....because they dread the process afterwards. I see it as part of the hunt.....but I've never done a whole lot of it in a season (obviously).
If I can get my son REALLY enthusiastic ......I'd let him take 'em all. I'd like to get him doing his own butchering (quartering) too. I think I'm going to hunt less.....but take MORE deer.
I know what you're saying. Last year I got tired of skinning and butchering deer....not because I didn't like it, just because it was so time consuming and I was so busy. When they start getting piled up I just enlist the help of my hunting buddies and say let's get on it, get these things done. Most of the time we kill 3 or 4 at a time between my hunting buddies, so we just get together and take care of 'em all. But yeah I know what you're saying.
