It's nice to have a collection but might as well just make it a 30-06. The 30-06 may not be "as flat" but it's way more versatile. I also own a 7mm Rem Mag. I won't go below the 7mm's and stick with them and the .30's. Anything small would just be for plinking and having fun in my fruitful opinion. Need a short action with no recoil? Easy, get a 7mm-08 or a .308.
