No games, you already know the answer. 270 is great for deer, maybe the best ever. It's not the best for hogs, but in some peoples opinion, with good shot placement, it will be fine. In other peoples opinion it will be to light for largehogs. If you are going to hunt hogs with a 270 you better be a great shot or in a tree. I personally prefer magnums, because I'm such a lousy tracker, due to being color blind.
