Default cutting length off arrow

I have Easton Axis 400's and I've decided to put on wraps and blazers. To get my arrow's "perfect" I would like to cut a 1/2 inch off the total length. They are 28.5 inches long now and I'd like to have them 28. You can't really "pull" out the old inserts on Axis arrows so my question is since I'm going to refletch anyway can you cut off the back of the arrow?

Or should I just leave it alone and be happy.. lol
