Don't know how you feel about pumps, but my Woods / Field set up is a Rem 7600 in 7mm-08 w/3-9X40 Ballsitic Plex Reticle.

It shoots MOA or better with Hornady 154 Grn Rount Nose on top of a healthy dose of H414. Quick follow-up shot capability for when you need it in the woods... Ballsitic Plex bullet drop compensator for hunting the fields. Works for me!
