Part of the CIRFCU strategy was to get into places the taller or deeper drafting boats couldn't go.

We can just squeak through.
Obviously, that wasn't a winning strategy. Not only could a bunch of the smaller boats get into the same waters... but there were hardlyany fish back in those areas. [&o]
The trick was to cover a lot of water...and to know the lake. I think some boats used up over 40 gallons of gas in that 12 hours.

I heard that some of the guys actually could chase down those skittish grass carp and buffalo.
