A lot of it comes down to why you hunt in the first place. Most of my life I did carpenter work and cement work. When it came time to hunt, it was a break from hard work that interested me. I could work my butt off all week why do it on the weekend. Stand hunting is my favorite way to hunt. I don't hunt from tree stands much except in Canada for Bear and moose but ground blinds or just a fallen tree or a small depression where I can get ready for the shpt and control the range that I choose to shoot is what I enjoy at hunting time. Also I hunt mostly for the meat and the quite of the prairie or forest with just the natural sounds around me.
Most of my deer hunting is on the prairies of western SD. Its not easy to stalk a deer on the prairie. Really hard if there is cactus
