Oldelkhunter - you've got that right! Unless I'm looking at the wrong rings, Leupold has rings with an integrated Weaver type base. I've found a set for $45. The Sako setup has separate bases and rings. Found those for $59 for the bases, another $59 for the rings. Sako's are a more expensive rifle, so I'm not complaining about the cost of the rings. I so feel that Leupold gear is quality stuff also. However, I don't know if what I'm finding is in fact and acceptable alternative. This is what I found on MidwayUSA:
