RE: storing Jacobs BPS?
I think you should take it and use it as your own for now. I got my first 22 that my dad had for years just recently and im never getting rid of that gun. I bought many guns before i got that but just knowing that it was my dads and he taught me how to shoot with it makes it alot more special to me. Thats just my opinion of what you should do. If you dont want to do that then go shoot it a few times and make sure its working right. Then clean it as usual and keep it in your gun case like all your other guns and check it periodically for rust starting on it. You shouldnt get any rust if it was oiled properly but its a good idea to check it.
