Great post! I have one comment and a question.

First, I am wondering how valid liability laws are in the event of death, such as will the laws in most states still protect the landowner in the event of a hunter's death if the hunter's survivors try to take action against the landowner? This is the only reason a particular landowner I hunt on will not grant written permission, just says go ahead but will deny I have permission if something would happen to me.

Second, would it be a good idea to have the permission slip notorized?
