I will answer you honestly. For starters, like I said I wouldn't pay to hunt. If it comes to me having to lease land to hunt I will quit, which may be very soon, like next year.
So lets say I did have the money and wanted to pay to hunt deer. Even if they advertised it as being a fenced in 18,000 acre ranch I would still do it. I would probably even do it at 3,000 acres. Those are huge areas and I don't blieve deer move around that much. Heck I'm used to hunting 9 or 10 acres (if that sometiems) with very limited places to set up successful stands.
When I think of canned or caged hunting I think of large numbers of domesticated deer in small areas where they cannot get away from you. Pretty much like shooting fish in a barrel. And to be honest I know people that still wouldn't be able tag out

.
How would you feel about a ranch with no fences but the stands were pre set, the deer routes were known (probably baited or had food plots) and the guide drops you off at your stand or blind and comes back when you are done. Does this sound more like fair chase or less like fair chase? Does it sound like hunting, or just shooting deer? Its not the way I hunt I know that. Ethics are really hard to define aren't they.
