I GET the point of your postings. But I think you overdid it on the first one with the tongue and cheek bit, and then you have to read other postings to figure out the use of sarcasm. Maybe I am slow, but I think most people are not expecting a satirical piece of writing on a message board bashing the use of treestands.
I stand hunt and sometimes wish I could do more stalking, but as the point of your posting indicates, you play the hand you're dealt. Most of our hunting land is impenetrable young CRP or old woods like RebelHog showed. You cannot stalk a deer in 5 foot tall palmettos and swamps. Hell, you can hardly stalk a squirrel in it. Not to mention that on the ground you can't see anything due to the palmettos. I really wish our land didn't have prehistoric looking palmettos, but we do, and therefore we stand hunt. Palmettos are apparently why we don't have any &*#$ turkeys! From what I've been told, they don't feel safe enough, as they have no visibility.
