Thanks Dnk. That may get me close. Sounds like he uses an 18" standard for his scopes. I hadn't thought about using the same measurement (18") and seeing what was that length on different animals, ie. 18" from nose to back of head on an elk and 18" from shoulder to brisket on a deer. I'll have to play around with this and see how it works.
