Plowed Fields
Got to my hunting spot today and I was somewhat surprised.....the farmer plowed the field. It was fresh perhaps three days old. I heard two toms gobble this morning but they were up on a ridge about 150 yards away bording the neighbors property where wheat is planted. Before the farmer plowed my hunting fields I would see birds, 37 on one sighting, but I think the fresh till may have pushed my birds to better grounds to eat. Do you think the birds may have moved to the neighboring property because of the wheat or will they still visit a tilled field? I am confused because last year they were so predictable!
