Thanks Chapman, I put that fine peep in and it really tightened things up. That, plus I am starting to get used to the flinter. My boy and I shot the .22 and the .177 pellet gun in between cool downs. Even the hot barrel grouped tight, just in a different place. It's all starting to come together. The .015 patches might just be the ticket. They loaded a bit easier than the .018 as well. Still playing, but one thing I know for sure is that the GPR don't shoot conicals worth a hoot.
I have a TC FL and I shot sabots with Speer Gold Dot in it, with between 70 and 80g of 3F Goex BP. I can get 3" groups at 50 yards with it. I like the killing power of the Gold Dots. I have hit a couple of deer at 25 yards with PRB and didn't get them, so I switched to a better penetrating and expanding bullet. I wouldn't give up on the conicals, read what Lyman says they shoot and follow that first. Also ask other GPR shooters what conical they are shooting. Best of luck.
