I think I've found what my baby likes. .015 prelubed patch, .495 ball, 100 gr 3f Goex. The first shot was right on Point of Aim and was from a clean cold barrel. Shots 2 & 3 were from a hot fouled but swabbed barrel. Shots 4,5 & 6 were from a fouled but cold barrel. I used the small peep that came with my Lyman peep sight today and the groups reflect that fine sight.

All shots were from 50 yds. Group size center to center for 456 is 7/8 ". Not too shabby for old man eye's as my young fell likes to call my glasses.

That is very good shooting for open sights at 50 yards. Nice. It is a great feeling to "get a load/bullet/sabot/rifle combination" dial-ed in and >>know<< you can hit with it. I find it very satisfying knowing my rifle is ready to rock. Much more fun than buying CF ammo and shooting it.
