Default RE: Fertilizing Plots

In my humble opinion, in many cases fertilizer is not mandatory, but it sure does help the seedlings get a big jump. I like to use a 10-10-10 from Tractor Supply. It is a generic and relatively cheap. No need to have a big brand name when the chemical composition is essentially the same. You can probably find a similar generic from one of the big box home supply centers. Male sure the last two numbers are high (like a 10-10).The first number is for nitrogen and that promotes leaf growth. You don't really need to enhance leaf growth too quickly in a food plot, at least not like the grass in your yard. The second two numbers are more for root production and you want to stimulate root growth quickly. Then just pray for rain.
