First coyote!!
I called my first coyote in two weeks ago but never fired a shot because I didn't even see it comin! Nearest I can figure is that it must have come in to the call down a ditch. In was callin for about ten min. when I heard one bark, down wind, and then it was over! Never saw him. Since then I have been watching the surrounding five miles for tracks. I know it's not the same as calling one in ,but it was still an awsome rush. Monday after work I drove around one of the sections I've been watching and noticed two coyotes crossing the open field. I got to a good sturdy fence post ASAP. I could only get a shot at the second yote but drilled her in the shoulder at 440 yds!! She spun in a circle and fell over! NO LIE. You have to love a .223 with a bi-pod.The next morn. I took out a pair of reds 300+ yds. Gota love it! One large male with a small female. I don't know how big coyotes get but, the female I got on Mon. weighed 42 lbs. and the one leading was much bigger! Something interestin. I wistled to get her to stop!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>this site is still the best. Keep it up!! By the way, range finders don't lie. nothing better than the outdoors.
