The only opinion that really matters is that of the gobbler. The best way to find out how well you sound is to try it on the live thing. And I promise, you don't have to be a pro to call in a bird.
Yeah, I'm definitely anything but a pro. That was kind of what I was trying to say in my original post. As a beginner, don't feel like you can't go out and have results right away. Get a good handle on the basics and, like me, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the result!
