I got a 300RUM, and 300Win, and wanting a 300WSM and had the 300Weatherby. Yea, it cooks. If you want a round that can push a 180 bullet 3350fps, then the RUM is for you. Reason I got it was I wanted something to push heavier bullets >3000fps without a belt. But if the recoil is too much, and you want a cartridge without a belt, then the WSM is for you. People are really doing well with these rifles. I didn't like the weatherby and had accuracy problems. If can be very finicky with different bullet seatings due to the extreme freebore. And ammo is outrageous. The 300RUM ammo is getting very easy to find as 300Win, and not near as expensive as Weatherby rounds.
