Exactly. I like to use the term, taking the birds temperature and giving the bird what he/ or she wants to hear. (in case I'm calling a dominant hen to lure the tom) Sometimes that is soft and seductive and other times it's loud and obnoxious.

FYI, I do love to fire them up however, sometimes it's not the right thing to do.
