There is a steel pin that stops the back action of the bolt. Some guys replace this with a pin that has a rubber coating. It acts like a bumper. There is an official name for the part, but I forget what it is. A friend of mine at work is a 10/22 freak. He told me about it. They cost about $4. Look on Ebay or 10/22 sites. A trigger job would be nice too.
