Here is a great guy that guides 1x1 on Kodiak. I know him personally and he will treat you right and get you a huge Brownie. He had a client that shot a booner and they did a big article in the Boone & Crocket record book about Mark and the client. Be sure to mention Brett Hyde.

Here is what he wrote me when I asked him:
I'm going to be doing one or two brown bear hunts on the Alaska
Peninsula
(GMU 9E) in May of '08. This is the same area that I've been
successful
in the past few years. This area is only open every other spring, and
every other fall. Brown bear hunts aren't cheap though. The cost of a
1x1 hunt is $13,500.
