To all of you who hunt PA. How did deer hunting become so popular in your state? I have a friend who hunts there and the way he talks you shut down the schools and everything else on opening day. I know your bag limits are set low and I suppose that is because of so many hunters in the field. I heard that there once was a gypsy moth problem there and you could see for very long distances because of the damage they had done. I do believe in quality deer management by the way but it is hard to count points at longer ranges when you only get to see the deer very briefly or he is running.
