I stripped thestock down to a pale shade of beige, worked the wood to accomidate a right hand comfortably as well as the area where your cheek would lay.
Brought the wood back to life with a Minwax called gunstock 231, a very cool color! Minwax has always been #1 in my books, now that I see they make a stain just for guns I am beyond impressed.
Tomorrow I will start to layer the Polyurethane, and then it just may be ready for turkey season..
