This year I'll be focusing on travel corridors into and out of my spot that are away from my stand. I would say 100+ yards minimum.
I have done this since I started utilizing trail cameras. I know where the deer are, now......and the cameras are ONLY for "inventory" purposes. I don't want to go ANYWHERE NEAR my hunting spots to check my trail cams. I don't want to leave that much scent in those places.
I hang mine about mid-Summer.....on MINERAL LICKS.......and check them about twice a month (during the middle of the day). I stay out of where I'm gonna actually HUNT.....until I'm HUNTING.
