Default RE: what do you sight your bow in at?

If the shop is worth anything they will spend the hour or more setting up the bow and working with you after you just dropped money for a bow, sites, rest, etc. The guy I bought my bow off of spent at least2 hours with me helping me adjust to a new anchor point with the new bow the first day. He also worked with me after I bought a new release off of him a few weeks later. I probably spent about 3 hours at the range with him on 2 occasions and didn't spend a dime for the lessons.

I'm not Robin Hood or anything. However, If I do not rush my shots I consistantly hit a 1.5" dot at 20. Plan on moving back to 25 soon. Then 30 and so on and would like to be consistant at 40 yds min by the time hunting season starts. I plan on having a 20 yd, 30 yd and 40 yd pin.

I'd start off at 5 yds or so to at least get the first pin on the target. And then practice at 10 yds for a while.Maybe your first few times out. There's nothing worse than shooting bad shots at 20 yds or more and getting discouraged so you loose enthusiasm and stop shooting as much. Build confidence and then start to move out. That way you have the bug to shoot. Just my $.02
