Default RE: Decoy Setups

BKE, my decoy setup, if I'm shotgun hunting, I put out 3 hen decoys, 2 feeding and 1 hot hen scattered apart from 15 to 25 yards out. I usually face them different directions, If a tom comes into my decoys he is most likely going to get a tag put on him. Bowhunting I'm more particular. I put a hen decoy at about 10 yards right in front of me facing away with the other hen decoys out at 15 to 20 yards also facing away or quartered away. If I use a jake or tom decoy in the mix I have him trailing one of the decoys at 15 yards. If a gobbler is going to attack a male decoy it won't necessarily be head on, could be from the side. If a tom is going to try to mount a hen , its got to be from behind. This allows me to draw back with less chance getting busted from the movement.
