Default RE: selling hides

You didn't say what kind of hides you wanted to sell, but the best place to try would be Ebay. As far a making enough money to be worthwile, I doubt it, but it depends. A tanned hide to hang on the wall usually brings very little. A hide that is tanned and suitable for taxidermy can bring a decent price, but you must be experienced in taxidermy and understand what is necessary and to be expected in a hide to be mounted in order to produce pelts that anyone is willing to pay for. Taxidermists will also buy green (skinned and frozen) hides, but again, they must be skinned correctly, with everything intact. Check your area for fur buyers and find out what the current prices are for raw fur and how they like the hides handled. The prices are poor, but are better than some years past. No matter the price, it's still worth it if you enjoy it.
