RE: Bear Hunting!
The way we hunt is we take a flat one foot by one foot peice of board and put it on the ground then we put the bait on that (Kitchen scraps mostly some little debbie cakes stuff like that) The we put a 5 gallon bucket upside down with a rock (if there is one around) on top and as many logs as possible so it looks natural and so all that can get it is a bear then in a circle about 10 to 20 feet from the bait we hang four to five scent rags to attract the bears with a really sweet smelling liquid that the boss makes and thats it sometimes a honey or sugar burn to get them going but other then that check the bait everyday and keep em coming we did pretty well this year we had 9 guests that hunted bear 5 got their bears 3 passed on bears and one had bad luck then me and two other guides hunted for ourselves and one of the three of us got a bear (not me unfortenualty) but all in all a good season
Nub I talked to my boss the other day and they did accomidate an archery moose hunter this year so he is willing I would suggest you get in touch asap as the hunts fill up quick we also accomidate archery bear if intrested its nice cause the season starts aug 15 I am hoping to go and guide again this summer so maybe I will get to see you there
